Ava Diamond earned her Masters in Clinical Social Work from New York's Columbia University in 1991. Since then, Ms. Diamond dedicated herself to life improvement for others. Ms. Diamond has aided people, including many healthcare providers, to overcome the most challenging of psychiatric and social issues.

Ms. Diamond is the co-developer of two multifaceted therapeutic models. With her colleague in New York City, Jacqueline Cohen, MADT, and an Advisory Board consisting of faculty from the medical schools at Yale University and Columbia University, she has co-founded Relational Impact Medicine and Narration Generation. Ms. Diamond will be teaching Relational Impact Medicine as an elective course at Yale Medical School in 2010. With her expertise in alleviating and preventing symptoms of healthcare provider burnout, extensive substance abuse treatment experience, and understanding of the hospital systems, she brings a special sensitivity to physicians and nurses who are in need of support through her private practice.

She also currently serves as Clinical Supervisor for a Yale University and Dept of Children and Families collaborative project that provides intensive home-based therapy for chemically dependent parents with young children.
